Shillong:
A security guard of Meghalaya legislator M M Danggo on Thursday committed suicide by hanging at the MLA's official residence in the city, police said.
The security guard was identified as Chising S Marak, the sources said adding a suicide note was found from the spot.
The MLA was out of station when the incident occurred.
The body was taken to the Shillong Civil Hospital for post-mortem.
