Would You Do This if You Saw Someone Littering the Street?

With the Swachh Bharat campaign sweeping the nation up and away, it was but a matter of time before social experiments related to littering came along.

This video, posted by TroubleSeekerTeam on their YouTube channel, seeks to prevent people from littering by giving their garbage back to them. That's right. In this video, we see a motorbike trailing cars on the road and those un-civic enough to throw garbage out of their windows were chased and had the bit of litter they'd thrown away 'returned'.

And by 'returning' we mean throwing the garbage back at them or super-gluing it to their car.

We'd earlier seen the Russian version of this social experiment, and now we've seen the desi version as well.

But of all the social experiments recently conducted on littering, this one posted by Awkwardness Unlimited on its YouTube channel hits bulls eye. The roles have been reversed and those conducting the experiment are the ones littering. Does the man/woman on the street intervene? Are they made to stop and throw the garbage in a bin instead? The results of this experiment are both fascinating and unsettling. How long are we going to blame the government for something we don't do ourselves?
