We've been privy to some really amazing videos from Russia and around (
what with this unbelievable acrobatic motorcycle crash and
this guy who literally knows how to get his ducks in a row), but the video below eclipses them by far.
This is probably the most bizarre road rage incident you have ever, EVER seen. At a traffic signal somewhere in Russia, a driver has an altercation with Mickey Mouse and SpongeBob that he lives to regret.
Shot from a dashcam in Russia, the video shows a regular van driving up a regular road and the sprightly sound of two (or more) men talking to each other. Seconds later, you see a car overtaking the van and halting to stop. Next, a visibly angry man steps outs of the car to yell at the people in the van. And that is when the cartoon hell breaks loose.
Guess who the passengers in the van are? Out come huge, life-sized versions of Disney's Mickey Mouse, Nickelodeon's SpongeBob, Ice Age's squirrel Scrat and another purple animal-human. What?!
These mascots exit the van and walk all nimble-toed towards the driver and proceed to beat him up black and blue. While we feel really sorry for the poor man on the receiving end of all that hate, it's just too hard to ignore the incongruity of the whole visual. The cartoon characters keep beating the man, all while trying to balance their outsize cartoon heads on their bodies. The men in the car that's filming this footage find the incident hilarious, their roaring (and ruthless) laughter providing a surreal background score to the bizarreness of the fight taking place.
