Top 10 Contenders For Most Bizarre Contests: For Those With an Iron Stomach

Some of these contests you may not have heard of, some of these will freak you out, some are very dangerous, some are just bizarre and some will gross you out. Be warned, this is not for the faint-hearted at all.

1. World Beard and Moustache Championships:

Of course we from India have always been proud of our men and their moustaches. The moustache competition held in Pushkar Mela is immensely popular.

2. Chess Boxing:

Inspired by  Enki Bilal's graphic novel, Froid Equateur, these contests apparently taken place around the world. Our very own Kolkata has hosted such an event as well.

This contest is a strange mix of boxing and chess. A punch for your Knight?  

3. UK's Twerking Championships:


Twerking just won't go out of fashion, will it? This 'championship' began last year and believe it or not, is a very popular event.





4. World's Ugliest Dog Contest:

This is just mean. MEAN!

5. Miss Bumbum Competition:

Brazil's very own buttock contest. They judge people based on their behinds. Enough said. Please just Google. We cannot stomach the videos/pictures.


6. Insect Eating Contest:

EEW! Such a contest once caused the death of the winner of a bug eating contest in Florida.

7. World Worm Charming Championships:


Britain, say what again? 'Charming' worms out of the ground? Ummm...why? They too have a website, though.
