Stripped Bare: These Women Want to Give it All Away

Colbie Caillat's latest video is going viral on the internet and has more than 14 million views in two weeks. While the video is titled 'Try', she advocates not trying and being comfortable in one's skin, without the protective camouflage of make-up. The desire to look supermodel-like compels women to cake their face and 'beautify' their features. Be natural instead, says Colbie.

Colbie encourages women to wipe off their make-up, peel off fake lashes, take off hair extensions and give photoshop a miss. She shares an important message, to brave and accept our 'flaws'. This video reassures women that they are good-looking just the way they are and that they don't require to doll-up. No matter what they show on magazine covers and television, the wish to mould ourselves in the same frame should not arise, the women in this video seem to say.

"Look into the mirror, at yourself. Don't you like you? Cause I like you" Colbie tells women. Being liked for who we are is better than being liked for who we are not is her powerful advice.
