Book lists were a Facebook hit for a short while in 2014. Now, the second richest man in the world has come up with a list of the best books he's read in the past year and, obviously, everyone ought to sit up and pay attention.

It matters not if you aren't into non-fiction, Microsoft's co-founder Bill Gates' book list is not be trifled with. Listen up, please.

To nobody's surprise, business and the economies of the world fascinate Mr Gates and his reading list has some of the best known books in these genres. Shared on his personal blog and on his YouTube page, these are the books that made it to his list:
