When Oprah Winfrey - the woman who turned hosting talk shows into something of an art - decides to get drenched in ice cold water, she manages to cause internet tremors.

Tagged by Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Tyler Perry and Nancy O'Dell in the ongoing Ice Bucket Challenge, Oprah responded in a way only she could have: with a small speech followed by loud yelling.

However this time the yelling wasn't to announce free cars, houses or clothes to the audience but to express her absolute horror at how cold the water was.

That scream, is priceless. Also priceless: her friend's calm inquiry about whether the water was cold, and Oprah's answering yell.

Wow. What a powerful voice she has:

What began as a bid to create awareness for ALS, short for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, which affects brain nerve cells and the spinal cord, has now turned into a national sensation in the US and an internet sensation worldwide.

We've by now seen Mark Zuckerberg, Satya Nadella, Martha Stewart, Bill Gates and Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin take part in the Ice Bucket Challenge to create awareness and donate money for research.  ( Read more about ALS )

Steven Spielberg accepted Oprah's challenge and went ahead to record this. While his scream wasn't as epic as Oprah's, his reaction will make you feel for him:

Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder took part in the ALS challenge as well and posted this video on the rock band's YouTube channel.

Accompanying him in the video is his adorable daughter who helps Eddie tag others in the challenge:

And of course, when all of USA is promoting ALS research, could the amazing Robert Downey Jr be far behind?

Iron Man posted this on his YouTube channel and tagged Thor (Chris Hemsworth, for the uninitiated) to take up the bucket next.  Not sure the internet can handle all this awesomeness.
