The groom wore a tux and the bride wore white. It was a beautiful ceremony attended by friends and family. Everyone gathered to shower their love on the blessed couple. Except, the groom was a nine-year-old and the bride an already-married 61-year-old. Umm... ick!
What's more - they were marrying for the second time.
Little Saneie Masilela is probably the world's youngest groom to marry twice. The boy married Helen Shabangu last year and this, again.
Their marriage is literally made in heaven. It was apparently Saneie who claimed that his dead ancestors wanted him to get married. Amazingly, his parents and the bride in question agreed and arranged for the 'happy day'. And repeated it this year as part of the ceremony.
This gets even weirder though...
The already married Helen has her current husband Alfred's blessing for the nuptials. He can be seen standing next to her as she gives the kid (her other husband) a nice peck on his lips.
While the families insist the wedding is just for show and performed only as a ritual, it is very hard to digest. Thankfully, we know that Saneie and Helen don't live together.
