When Beyonce and Jay-Z declared to the world that they have named their new-born daughter Blue Ivy Carter, it sparked simultaneous trends on Twitter as fans tried to decode why her celebrity parents picked the unusual name.

While the parents have not made any statement explaining their choice, their fans have come up with some innovative interpretations.

Many think that since father Jay-Z's has three hit rap albums with the word blueprint in it namely - The Blueprint (2001), The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse (2002) and The Blueprint 3 (2009); therefore he decide to name his daughter Blue.

Ivy, meanwhile, is rumoured to be the roman number IV, which the couple think is lucky for them.

Beyonce's latest album was titled 4, her birthday is on September 4, Jay-Z's birthday is on December 4 and the couple wed in a private ceremony on April 4, 2008. Also, Beyonce's fourth studio album was called '4'.

The couple welcomed Blue Ivy Carter into the world on Saturday (07.01.12).
