Passport seva kendras begins functioning in Kerala

Kochi: Passport seva kendras, set up to provide better service to passport applicants, have begun
functioning in Alapuzha, Kottayam, Aluva and Kochi.
The seva kendras have been established to give better service to passport applicants in easily accessible locations
on the basis of contract between the Ministry of External Affairs and M/s Tata Consultancy Services, Regional Passport
officer, B Sreekumar, told reporters.
In Thrissur, the Passport Seva Kendra would commence its functioning from next month and until then the existing
District Passport cell would be accepting applications, Passport Officer.
In Idukki and Lakshadweep, applications can be submitted in the respective District Passport cells.
From tomorrow, non of the Speed Post centres and the three district passport cells
in Alapuzha, Kottayam and Aluva will accept applications, he said.
