Bangalore,: A five-storey under construction building near IT hub Electronics City is on the verge of collapse after its foundation
caved in on one side by more than five feet, prompting officials to go for its demolition.
Sub-standard materials used in construction had led to the caving in of the foundation which has consequently slanted
to one side, fire-force officials said.
"We have decided to demolish the building. Residents of the adjacent residential apartments have all been evacuated,"
they said.
A case has been lodged against the owner of the building, officials said.
