Bangalore: The Bannerghatta Biological Park authorities rescued a female bear along with two cub bears of around 10 weeks old from Gubbi in Tumkur district.

During the examination of the female bear, it was found that all its canine teeth and incisors were broken into multiple fragments with severe gum injuries and minor wounds on the claws and foot pads, Bannerghatta Biological Park Executive Director R Raju said in a press release.

First aid was given on the spot and further in the zoo hospital at the Park, he said.

All three bears have been housed in a calm place for further observation and necessary treatment. The bears are responding well to the treatment and hopefully they would recover soon, he said.
