Two minors allegedly gang-raped at gun-point inside their house in Madhya Pradesh

Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh: Two minor girls from Madhya Pradesh were allegedly gang-raped at gun-point inside their house by four armed men on Tuesday. Their assaulters also looted cash and jewellery from their parents.

Around 1 pm on Tuesday, the four men barged into the house of the girls, who are cousins and residents of Gadhayee village in Shivpuri, carrying country-made guns and a sharp weapon. They then thrashed their parents and robbed them of Rs 45,000, 20 gms of gold and also some silver jewellery. The accused then tied their parents with ropes and later gang-raped the girls at gun-point.

The family rushed to a police station after the girls managed to free their parents. Medical examination has confirmed that they were raped.

An FIR has been filed in the case and a hunt is on to nab the accused. "The victims have identified the four accused. We are trying our best to arrest them at the earliest," a senior police official has said.

Last week, a 39-year-old Swiss national was gang-raped by a group of men at a village near Datia. The men had also assaulted the woman's husband with lathis (wooden sticks) after robbing the couple of their valuables.
