Patna:
Ten girls drowned in in Bihar's Gaya and Patna district during a bath during a local Hindu festival on Friday, police said.
Twenty-one girls slipped into deep water in a dam in Barwadih village under Barachatti police station, Gaya, about 100 kilometers from here.
Police said twelve girls were rescued, while bodies of six girls have been recovered.
All these girls were observing a fast to pray for the long life of their brothers.
In another incident in Patna, four minor girls drowned in a water body in Jainandanpur village.
