Sack Union Minister Beni Prasad Verma, demands Mulayam Singh Yadav
New Delhi: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav today demanded that Union Minister Beni Prasad Verma should be sacked after the Congress leader alleged that Mr Yadav had links with terrorists.

The Lok Sabha was adjourned for nearly two hours following the uproar with Samajwadi Party members storming the Well demanding an apology by Mr Verma and his removal from the Cabinet.

"I stand by what I said. I won't quit; who is Mulayam to ask for my removal," Mr Verma, who is the union minister for steel, said after the ruckus in the Lok Sabha today.

Two days ago, Mr Verma in a rally in Gonda, his constituency in Uttar Pradesh, had alleged that the Samajwadi Party chief has links with terrorists. "He is a goon and a robber. How will he protect his state? He has links with terrorists," Mr Verma had said.

Mr Verma is a former leader from the Samajwadi Party.
