Prime Minister Narendra Modi Visits Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in Mumbai

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today visited the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in Mumbai and interacted with scientists there.

PM Modi's schedule included a visit to the Dhruva reactor and interaction with scientists of the Department of Atomic Energy and BARC. Dhruva is located in the BARC premises.

Earlier, on his arrival at the airport in the afternoon, Mr Modi was received by Governor K Sankaranarayanan and Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan. Senior state BJP leaders including Maharashtra unit president Devendra Fadnavis and Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Vinod Tawde also greeted PM Modi at the airport.

The PM's BARC event was open only for the official media.

On his first visit to Mumbai after becoming the Prime Minister, Mr Modi is also expected to address a meeting of key office bearers of the state and city BJP units, before returning to Delhi.
