Islamabad: Chairman of Pakistan Senate Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari will visit India from Wednesday as part of efforts to better bilateral ties.
He is coming on the joint invitation of Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari and and Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar.
His visit is a continuation of the Parliamentary exchanges between the two countries. Pakistan's National Assembly Speaker Fehmida Mirza has twice visited India in recent years.
Kumar had visited Pakistan in February and November this year.
"These visits not only provided an opportunity for exchange of views but also contribute to creating goodwill," an official statement said.
Bokhari will be accompanied by Senator Rubina Khalid, Hari Ram, Abdul Haseeb Khan, Heman Das, Malik Najmul Hassan and Kamran Michael.
