New Delhi: A Norwegian of Indian origin was today found dead in a south Delhi hotel. The police suspect that he committed suicide by consuming sleeping pills.
Valentino Rebello, a resident of Norway, had checked into Roma Deluxe hotel yesterday 6 am and was found dead in his room at around 12:30 pm today, police said.
Mr Rebello, whose father Akshay Jain resides in Vasant Kunj, had shut his room last night around 8:30 pm and hotel employees got suspicious as he did not come out till noon.
They informed the police, who broke open the door and found him lying on the bed in an unconscious state.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
"We have recovered sleeping pills, pain killers, injections and syringes from the room," a senior police official said.
The body has been sent for post mortem.
