Missing explosives case: Four arrested in Rajasthan

Jaipur Four officers of Rajasthan Explosives and Chemical Limited (RECL) located at Dholpur were arrested in the missing explosives case, police said.
    
The officials were nabbed by the Rajasthan Police-Crime Branch for making excess supply of explosives to the tune of 872 tones to two firms of Shiv Charan Heda of Bhilwara, police said.
    
"Those arrested on Friday included Managing Director BD Agarwal, Chief General Manager and Director K Edward Kelly, Chief Manager Marketing V K Garg, and Manager-Marketing Rajesh Agarwal under sections of Explosive Substance Act and various sections of IPC," said the Deputy SP of CID-CB Rajendra Singh Shekhawat.    

A case under sections of 5-9-BC of Explosive Act and IPC's sections 420, 120 and 286 was lodged with the Kotwali police on September 5 against the private concern RECL officials after Dholpur district collector's report on the supply of explosives by the very company, Shekhawat said.
    
Shekhawat said the RECL was under scanner and its officials were accused of supplying explosives above permitted limits to two companies Ganesh Explosives located at Sagar and Sangam Explosives at Chanderi, Ashok Nagar in Madhya Pradesh.
    
Sangam Explosives belongs to Heda group based in Rajasthan, whose license was disputed. The accused are likely to be produced before a court in Dholpur later in the day, the Dy-SP said.
     
Around 163 trucks loaded with explosives for mining purpose to Sagar and Chanderi towns in Madhya Pradesh, but none of them reached their destination and disappeared mysteriously last month.
   
A team of Bhilwara police has already arrested noted dealer in explosives (mainly used in mining purpose) Shivcharan Heda and his wife Deepa Heda from Ahmedabad on September 2.
