Dehradun: A man was arrested when he tried to throw a shoe at Team Anna here today, police said.

The incident took place when Arvind Kejriwal, Manis Sisodia and Kiran Bedi were addressing a public meeting at Lord Venkatshwara Hall.

The man has been identified as Kishan Lal [35] who hails from Prem Nagar locality of Dehradun.

However, Mr Goswami denied media reports that the shoe was hurled at Team Anna.

"We managed to catch hold of the man when he was about to throw a shoe," Goswami said.

A section of the audience, who were present at the meeting, however claimed the man managed to throw the shoe but it did not hit the intended target.
