Jagan Mohan Reddy's party statement on his arrest

Hyderabad: YSR Congress party chief Jagan Mohan Reddy has appealed to his party members to keep calm after CBI arrested him in Hyderabad in the disproportionate assets case. In a press statement issued by the party, it said that anticipating an emotional outpouring by his supporters, Mr Reddy has asked leaders like Vasi Reddy to communicate a special message to all members of YSR Congress party as well as other supporters, imploring everyone to maintain peace and remain calm at all cost.

"This is the need of the hour especially in view of the upcoming by polls" he said.

He reassured his party members and the general public by saying that "I will fight this battle legally as I will not bow down to the political games being played by vested interests in the Congress & TDP".
