Gujarat polls: Modi to address rallies in four cities simultaneously through 3D technology
Ahmedabad: The ruling BJP in Gujarat will use 3D technology in its campaign for the next month's assembly polls, party leaders said in Ahmedabad.

"People are aware of the traditional methods like video conferencing or virtual technology, but 3D technology is quite different from that. A special type of stage will be erected and a 3D image of the Chief Minister will be projected through this technology in such a way that people feel as if Modi himself is speaking before them in person," BJP leader Purshottam Rupala said.

He was speaking during an informal get-together of journalists ahead of the New Year celebrations organised by the party, where Narendra Modi and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitely were also present.

This is for the first time that a political party will use 3D technology for election campaign and for reaching to
the masses, Mr Rupala claimed.

In the first programme on November 18, Mr  Modi would address people from Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot and Vadodara simultaneously and Mr Modi's live telecast through 3D image will be the main attraction of this programme, BJP state president R C Faldu said.

After the first programme, the BJP plans to cover maximum number of assembly constituencies phase-wise and the technology will be later used for mass education in future, he said.

On this occasion, Mr Modi expressed confidence that he would win the upcoming state polls and said that he would hold next get-together for journalists at the Chief Minister's residence on December 25, which is the birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
