Mumbai: It remains one of the most popular murder mysteries in Hindi Cinema - Shammi Kapoor's
Teesri Manzil, which saw the evergreen romantic star in an avatar like never before. The 60s super hit was revisited at a film festival on Saturday evening in Mumbai and it was a moment filled with nostalgia for everyone from Aamir Khan to Asha Parekh and Asha Bhosale to Shammi Kapoor himself.
"There was a lot happening during this film, it was a great experience, but I also lost my wife then. So it will always stand out for me," said Shammi Kapoor, actor.
"I have never seen
Teesri Manzil on the big screen and that's why I am particularly excited. It's one of Shammi uncle's best works," said Aamir Khan, actor.
Teesri Manzil saw some of best disco numbers. No wonder that the film, more than anything else is still celebrated for its foot-tapping music.
"The music those days was completely different from today's. It is etched in memories till now," said Asha Bhosale, singer.
Recreating music and drama like
Teesri Manzil may be close to impossible, so if you want to relish in the magic of the 60s, head to your nearest cinema hall.
