The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed its third chargesheet against YSR Congress party leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy in the disproportionate assets case today. The 88 page chargesheet was filed after examining 72 witnesses, accused Jagan Reddy conspired with his father - former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy - to dole out several favours to certain companies in return for the investments they made in his businesses.
The CBI booked Jagan Reddy and 73 companies and individuals in August last year on the directions of the high court. Others named in the chargesheet are Jagan Reddy's close aide Vijay Sai Reddy, Jagati Publications Private Limited (JPPL), Ayodhya Rami Reddy, IAS officer Venkatrami Reddy, and Ramkey Pharma.
The third chargesheet contains details of undue favours granted to a company called Ramky Pharma during Jagan's father and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Rajashekhar Reddy's regime.
