New Delhi:
The BJP, ready with its election campaign battle plan, is announcing about 15 committees to manage different aspects of the BJP's election campaign under the stewardship of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
BJP leader Ananth Kumar announced the list at the BJP Headquarters in New Delhi. He said all the committees will be steered by Mr Modi. Here are the highlights:
- 20 committees were formed
- Goshna Patra committee (Manifesto committee): Murali Manohar Joshi
- Sadasya(Members): Jashwant Singh, Yashwant Sinha, Prem Kumar Dhumal, Satyapal Manik, Datatraye, Mahesh Chandra Sharma, Shanmuka Nathan
- We will release a Vision Document
- Vision Document will be prepared under Nitin Gadkari's leadership
- Electronic campaign, print media campaign will be looked after by Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, Amit Shah & Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi.
- From August, BJP will begin its campaign. Our galaxy of leaders will be campaigning in constituencies
- BJP to hold events for farmers, tribals; morchas for women, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes too
- Vishesh Sampark Kalyan committee (Which will connect the cadres): Nitin Gadkari, CP Thakur, Dr, Jaykar Jain, Murdula Sinha, Kalraj Mishra, Kiran Maheshwari
- Information Communication Committee (From Twitter to Facebook to WhatsApp): Piyush Goyal
- Emerging voter population very crucial. To coordinate with them - Amit Shah, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Trivendra Rawat Pooja Mahajan
- North East Visheh Aabhiyaan (Special Campaign for Northeast): SS Ahluwalia, Tapir Gaon, Padmanab Acharya, Kiran Rijju
- Commission on legal matters and issues related to Election Commission: Satpal jain, Bhupendra Yadav
- Pamphlets, booklets committee will be headed by Balbir Punj, Prabhat Jha, Vinay Shahastrabuddhe
- Nitin Gadkari asked by BJP president Rajanth Singh to pay special attention of Delhi elections
- Co-ordination for transport will be done by Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Anil Jain
