New Delhi: Former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal was today restrained by a judge of a local court from addressing lawyers inside the court premises, saying it cannot be used for political purposes.

There was high drama inside the court complex when lawyers of the Dwarka Court Bar Association (DCBA), who had invited Mr Kejriwal, were told that he could not address the gathering.

District Judge Ravinder Kaur had asked the police and court
employees to take necessary steps to ensure that the premises were not used for the rally.

Advocates and office bearers of DCBA had set up a dais for Mr Kejriwal to address them.

On being denied permission, the lawyers got agitated and started shouting slogans against the judge.

The advocates then gathered outside the office of the judge and and threatened to boycott the court on Saturday, sources said.
