Jalandhar: Criticising Arvind Kejriwal for taking support from Congress to form government in Delhi, yoga guru Ramdev on Tuesday alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener became the Chief Minister of Delhi by "hijacking Anna Hazare's movement".

"Kejriwal has got his desired (CM's) post. He has achieved this position by hijacking Anna Hazare's movement. He used Anna's anti-corruption movement to reach there," the yoga guru told reporters on the sidelines of a programme organised by Bhartiya Swabhiman Trust in Jalandhar.

"If he had to fight against corruption, he should have done that by remaining in the government set-up as IAS officer Ashok Khemka has done. Kejriwal had not done anything like Khemka, who has exposed corruption case against the son-in-law of Congress' leader while remaining in government service," Ramdev said.

He said Mr Kejriwal preaches everyone to struggle for a corruption-free state, but he himself has taken the support of the "most corrupt party in the world" to become CM.

"If he had to take support, he should have taken the support of BJP and not in the form of the party against which he had launched an anti-corruption crusade," Ramdev said.

Asked about the BJP's silence when Mr Kejriwal wrote a letter on this matter, Ramdev said he should have spoken to the BJP leaders.

Earlier, he praised BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and said he would organise a rally in Delhi on January 5.

BJP leaders would share dais with him in the rally, he said, adding that he may extend support to Mr Modi in rally after talking to them on some issues.
