Actor Ranjitha blames Nithyananda's driver for scandal
Bangalore: The Ramnagar Court issued an arrest warrant against Lenin Kuruppan, who exposed controversial swami Nityananda's sex scandal, following a complaint filed by Tamil film actress Ranjitha. In her complaint, she claimed that the video supposedly showing her in a compromising position with Nityananda has been morphed.

In addition, a warrant has also been issued against Arathi Rao, a Nityananda devotee, who testified in the alleged sex romp case and against the swami's former advocate M Sridhar, who later turned against his client.

Image damage?
In her complaint to the court, Ranjitha alleged that Lenin hatched a conspiracy to tarnish Nityananda's image, fabricated and morphed videotapes allegedly featuring her and the swami in March last year. The morphed video was aired by a television channel and others further damaging the reputation of the godman, she alleged in the complaint.

Taking serious note on this, the court issued summons against the accused seeking their personal appearance to explain their stand. When Lenin and others did not respond to the repeated summons, the court issued a warrant directing the police to secure their presence through arrest.

Joy at ashram
Nityananda's ashramites and devotees the across the globe are celebrating the triumph of justice, an official communication from Dhyanapeetha of Bidadi Ashram said. Nityananda himself is currently on a yatra to sacred Hindu pilgrimage spots in the country.

It may be recalled that Nityananda has all along declared that he had complete faith in the Indian judiciary for speedy dispensation of justice, the release added.

Fear factor
Meanwhile, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which is handling the case, deposed before the HC recently citing Nityananda's pressure tactics on the witness in the case through foisting false cases against them. Nityananda was creating a fear psychosis for the witness of the case, thus violating the bail conditions, the CID officials said requesting the court to cancel his bail.

Nityananda had also filed a complaint with the city police commissioner against the media alleging that they are portraying him in bad light and ridiculing his Kundalini Yoga classes.
