Sonepat:
A 16-year-old Dalit girl has tried to kill herself after allegedly being raped by her neighbour in Sonepat, Haryana.
The girl set herself on fire and is fighting for life in hospital. Doctors say she has suffered 90 per cent burns and is critical.
The girl's family alleges she was lured by the neighbour into his car and raped. The man allegedly threatened to kill her if she confided in anyone.
Balbir Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sonepat, said the statement of the girl's family has been recorded.
No arrests have been made yet.
