Miranda Kerr Follows Blood Type Diet

London: Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr has said she follows the blood type diet to maintain a slim figure and adds supplements to her meals to ensure she receives maximum nutrition.

According to reports, the 27-year-old beauty - who gave birth to Flynn, her first child with husband Orlando Bloom, in January - explained she sticks to an eating plan specially devised for blood type A. "I am a blood type A and more often than not I eat specifically for my blood type. I also eat low GI, high alkaline foods, drink filtered water and eat mostly fresh produce and very little meat.

"I believe it is important to supplement our food to ensure our bodies have the nutrition required to remain healthy. This is even more important if you do not eat certified organic foods and certified organic fresh produce," said Kerr.

Coconut oil is Kerr's secret key to great skin and shiny hair, and she ensures she supplements her meals with four tablespoons of the natural fat each day.

"I personally take around 4 tablespoons of coconut oil per day either on salads, in my cooking or in my cups of green tea!! I will not go a day without Coconut Oil. It is also great for the skin and hair (sic)," wrote Kerr on her beauty blog.
