London: The 10-month-old marriage between glamour model Katie Price and her cage fighter husband Alex Reid is on the brink of a divorce and the couple have jetted off on a holiday as a last attempt to mend the relationship.

The troubled couple have flown out to a secret desert island destination in the Indian Ocean for crisis talks to sort out their problems, reported Daily Mail online.

It is believed that Reid, 37 is fed up with the paparazzi surrounding them and is trying to cope with the fame thrust upon him since they married in Las Vegas in February.

Both are also said to harbour grudges over their failure to conceive a baby through IVF. However, Reid's mother claimed that their marriage is "as strong as ever" despite the make-or-break holiday.

"It's a load of rubbish and they are as strong as ever," she said.
