Voters outside a polling booth in Uttar Pradesh
Over 27.44 per cent votes have been polled till 11 am in Uttar Pradesh, where polling is going on 11 seats in the second phase to decide fate of 150 candidates.
According to Election Commission sources, Nagina witnessed 28.25 per cent polling in the first four hours while Moradabad 24 per cent and Rampur 28.84 per cent polling each.
Similarly Sambhal 25 had per cent polling, Amroha 26.20 per cent, Badaun 24.4 per cent, Aonla 24.4 per cent, Bareilly 26.6 per cent, Pilibhit 23.60, Shahjahanpur 21.83 per cent and Kheri 24.4 per cent.
In this phase, polling is being held in Moradabad, Rampur, Sambhal, Amroha, Badaun, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Nagina, Aonla and Kheri.
The prominent candidates who are in the fray include Maneka Gandhi, Santosh Gangwar, Saleem Sherwani and Begum Noor Bano.
