Srinagar: A Jammu and Kashmir minister was seen slapping and abusing a man who interrupted Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's speech at a rally today.

Mr Abdullah was campaigning in Rafiabad in north Kashmir when a young man got up and started shouting during his speech. In footage, the state's Higher Education Minister, Mohammad Akbar Lone, was seen slapping him.

When the police tried to drag the young man away, the minister caught hold of him again, slapped and allegedly abused him. As he was led away by the police, he kept shouting, "We want justice."
