Woman patient alleges rape by two doctors

Meerut: Two doctors of a private nursing home here allegedly raped a woman at the facility during treatment, police said.

On the basis of a complaint by the 32-year-old victim, a case of rape has been registered against two doctors of the nursing home, Superintendent of Police (City) Om Prakash told reporters.

The woman, who hails from Muzaffarnagar, was admitted in the nursing home on August 5 and was due to be discharged on Thursday.

According to the complaint, two doctors of the nursing home raped the woman in the early on Thursday.

The woman in her complaint claimed that her husband had gone to Muzaffarnagar for some work and her brother-in-law was in the main hall of the nursing home watching TV when the incident happened.

A case has been registered and further legal action would be initiated after the police receive a copy of the report of the victim's medical examination, Om Prakash said.
