Srinagar:
A teenaged girl was crushed to death by a train in Budgam district of central Kashmir on Thursday, police said.
Rukhsana (19), a resident of Naidgam, died on the spot after being hit by the train near Manzgam village at around 10:15 am, a police spokesman said.
The train was heading to Budgam from Srinagar, he said, adding that it was not immediately known whether the girl committed suicide by jumping in front of the train or was crossing the track when she was hit.
"It is a matter of investigation. A police party is on the spot and further details are awaited," he said.
