Two Killed in Indore as Truck Hits Motorcycle

Indore: Two people riding a motorcycle were killed and another person was injured today, after a truck hit them on the Agra-Mumbai road, about 60 km away from the district headquarters.

However, eyewitnesses said that the trailor truck got unbalanced after an official in the Regional Transport Officer (RTO) squad shot at it's tyres after which it burst and the vehicle overturned, after hitting the motorcycle.

Two people identified as Gulab Bondar (30) and Sangita Bai (35) died on the spot, while another person, Bhupendra (19) was seriously injured.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Arvind Tiwari said that police had got the tyres examined by forensic experts who found no evidence to suggest that it burst because of being shot at.

RTO Jitendra Raghuwanshi also denied that any official of the squad had shot at the tyres, adding the duo were killed in an accident.
