Three dead, 14 seriously injured in mishap

Rajkot: Three persons were killed and 14 others seriously injured after their jeep collided with a truck on Dhrangdhra-Ahmedabad highway in Surendranagar district today, police said.

The mishap occurred in the morning when nearly 17 members of a Ahmedabad-based catering company were returning from Bhuj in the jeep, they said.

Three persons were killed on the spot, police said, adding the injured were rushed to Surendra Nagar and Ahmedabad civil hospitals.

A complaint has been filed in this regard and further investigations are on, they added.
