Allahabad: For those of you who haven't had a reason to smile recently, just Google the name 'Govind Tiwari' and the website will keep you glued to your screens for several rib-tickling minutes.

The 19-year-old who literally blinks his eyes on http://www.govindtiwari.blogspot/.com has become such a virtual rage on the Internet this week that his blog crashed twice. He had to change the bandwidth to allow his fans to follow him without interruptions.

MiD DAY spoke to Tiwari, a resident of Phaphamau, nearly 15 km from Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh.

He claimed he started this blog when he was learning the basics of programming and is still unaware how his website went viral.

"I started getting calls from close friends in Allahabad, who learnt about my website's global popularity. Within minutes my phone was flooded with calls.

By afternoon, the website nearly crashed twice and I had to redirect the server," said the teenager. "All of my friends, relatives and acquaintances were paying me visits," he added.

Tiwari began dabbling different techniques in Photoshop, JAVA and HTML last year.

He created his famous trick of 'blinking the eyes'. A local newspaper carried his story with a picture. "I told my parents that I had posted the website, with my pictures and it was an experiment, which people liked," Tiwari said.

Tiwari is baffled with his viral popularity. "I just made it for myself and it has nothing more than my videos, pictures and some personal information."

Several fans have added flames to Tiwari's burgeoning popularity by creating websites, blogs, tweets and fan sites dedicated to him.

Tiwari is currently preparing for his entrance exam for BCA in Allahabad, and is beginning to find his unexpected popularity tiresome.

"I get international calls on my phone number and it's a little scary now," the teenager maintained.

India's very own YouTube sensation Wilbur Sargunaraj with his wacky music and instructional videos is one the most absurd trends surfacing the web.

His self-titled debut album which contains entertaining songs like 'Love Marriage' and 'Cricket' have become a rage, along with some of his 'How-to' videos that instruct non-Indians on how to use an Eastern latrine or the art of Bhangra, to name a few has gathered nearly 3.1 million fans.
