Thane:
A teenage girl was trapped in a lift for more than three hours, before she was rescued and admitted to a hospital in Thane in an unconscious condition, fire brigade sources said.
15-year-old Pooja Jadhav, who lives on the seventh floor of the BSUP Housing Complex in the Tulsidham locality of the city, was taking the lift when it developed a snag and stopped moving.
She raised an alarm and occupants of the building made an attempt to open the lift's doors, but in vain.
Finally, the door of the lift was cut open after the fire brigade was alerted. The girl who had fainted due to suffocation and lack of fresh air, was rescued.
