Thane:
A 22-year-old girl was allegedly gang raped by two persons in Ghoteghar village in Shahapur taluka in the district, police said today.
The incident took place on Monday afternoon when the victim was alone at home, Assistant Police Inspector (API) Bapusaheb Shinde of the Shahapur police station said.
The two unidentified persons entered her house and tied her legs before they took turns to rape her. They also inflicted injuries on her body, including her private parts, police said.
After committing the crime, the accused fled from the spot.
The duo has been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and a search is on to nab them, police said.
