Hajipur (Bihar): Students appearing for the Senior Secondary Board Examination in Bihar ransacked a college in Hajipur district after they were stopped from cheating.
Angry students damaged properties inside RN College in Hajipur, which was their examination centre. Policemen on duty were also injured.
Commenting on the incident, one of the students said, "There (some other college) we used to get the answers with each question. But here, they didn't allow any such thing. That's why this happened."
"The question paper was given out almost 30 minutes late, but the answer sheets were collected on time. That's why the students turned violent," says another student, who was part of the whole drama.
Principle of the college Professor SP Singh made desperate calls to police for help. But no reinforcements were provided by the police. "This is an incident of arson. Motorcycles have been burnt. The situation here is really bad. Many of our staffers have sustained head injuries. I was threatened too. Please come immediately," says the principal asking for police help.
