Ruckus followed after Army cancelled the recruitment rally last minute.

Gwalior: At least six persons were today injured in a stampede following violence by candidates after cancellation of an Army recruitment rally in Gwalior, police said.

Nearly 15,000 candidates from nearby districts turned up for the rally at the local Mela Ground this morning.

Some unidentified candidates torched 6-7 vehicles, damaged a few others and some properties in the area, he said.

Six persons suffered injuries in the stampede. They were admitted to a local hospital and later discharged after being provided medical treatment, the IG said.
