Pune: Girl in Mercedes hits 10 vehicles, gets bail

Pune:  At 7.15 pm on Tuesday, 22-year-old Aditi Jagtap was driving her Mercedes C-class to a friend's house for a Ganapati puja. She was speeding her car when she hit an elderly woman.

The architecture student panicked. In the next eight minutes, she hit ten vehicles and injured another nine people, including a one-year-old boy.

When she ran into the elderly woman, the squeal of the Mercedes's brakes drew a crowd in a matter of seconds. Aditi tried to race away by swerving onto the wrong side of the road. She hit four cars, three autos and a bus.

The medical report says she was not drunk.
