Mumbai:
A Mumbai top cop is in the dock for alleged purchase of land meant for agricultural use.
Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil has ordered a probe against Mumbai Additional Commissioner of Police Krishna Prakash who reportedly bought agricultural land in Shirdi, Pune and Mumbai.
The police officer allegedly bought these lands at cheaper rates.
The Anti-Corruption Wing has been asked to probe the matter and submit a report within three months.
The Indian law does not permit anybody except a farmer to buy agricultural land.
