Meerut:
A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth in Inchauli area in Meerut following which irate people pelted stones at the accused's house leading to tension, police said today.
The accused identified as Sonu, lured the girl on Monday evening to accompany him to the forest area and raped her.
She was spotted by her family members in an unconscious state yesterday morning.
An angered mob pelted stones at the accused's house yesterday leading to tension in the area as the accused and victim belong to separate communities, police said, adding that the situation was under control now.
The medical examination has confirmed rape and a case has been registered against the absconding accused, they said.
