Haridwar: Three injured in leopard attack

Haridwar: Three persons were injured today after being attacked by a leopard in a factory in Roshnabad area of Haridwar.

The leopard sneaked into the premises of a thread manufacturing factory located in SIDCUL area at about 11 in the morning, prompting those on duty to scamper for cover.

Three factory staff Assistant Manager N K Singh, Supervisor Narendra and another factory employee Ummed were injured as the leopard attacked them, authorities at Ranipur police station said.

However, they sustained minor injuries and were discharged by a local hospital after first aid.

As the factory employees gathered raising an alarm, the big cat hid itself in the godown.

A combined effort by the police and the forest department has failed to bring the leopard out of the factory godown.
