Ghaziabad: Police to Register Case Against Girl for Allegedly Filing Fake Rape Case
Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh: Ghaziabad police today said that it would register an FIR against a 19-year-old girl for filing a fake rape case.

The girl had yesterday lodged a complaint with the police alleging that she was abducted by three car-borne youths from outside a posh mall in Vaishali area and raped by one of them in Noida's Sector 22.

The police today informed that the rape charges made by the girl turned out to be false as her medical report did not confirm any sexual intercourse.

"Apart from her negative medical report, there are also several other contradictions in the girl's statements. Her mobile's location also doesn't establish her movement as she was claiming," Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Atul Yadav said.

Yadav also said that police would soon book her for filing  fake rape case at Indirapuram police station.

"We are investigating as to why she filed a fake rape and abduction case against the accused. By her statement, she misguided the police and also the media," the DSP said.

Once facts of the case are established, appropriate action will be taken, he added.
