Five youths found dead on rail track in Delhi

New Delhi: Five youths were found dead and another was found in an injured condition on a railway track under mysterious circumstances in the national Capital on Saturday, police said.

All the six were found on the rail track in Y-Block in Mangolpuri, they said.

The deceased have been identified as Sunny, Manoj, Sanjeev, Sagar and Sunny, while the injured person as Rohit.

"There were lot of injury marks on the dead bodies, including on head and chest. Their clothes were also torn," a senior police official said.

The official said they initially suspected the five were killed somewhere else and dumped there. However, Rohit gave a statement to police claiming that it was a case of accident.

"We are looking for one Farooq who called them. His whereabouts are still unknown," he said.

The families of the deceased youths claimed that they were murdered. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital.
