Fire at Pune hospital, all patients evacuated

Pune: A huge fire broke out on the third floor of the Medipoint Hospital in Pune's Aundh area around noon on Saturday.

Four fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot to douse the fire. It took fire fighters nearly an hour to bring the situation under control.

According to reports, there were 25 patients and an equal number of staff inside the hospital when the fire broke out. They were all evacuated timely and no one was injured in the fire.

The cause of the fire has yet not been ascertained.
