Dense Fog Across Delhi; 70 Flights, 60 Trains Affected

New Delhi: The residents of the national capital have been encountering dense fog for the last seven days, and Monday morning was no different. The dense fog affected flight schedules at the Delhi airport. 70 flights were affected, out of which 46 flights were delayed and 24 flights cancelled.

The movement of trains were affected as well, with more than 60 of them running late and 12 having to be rescheduled.

The Meteorological department data suggests that the overall visibility across Delhi was less than 50 meters. The minimum temperature on Monday morning was 10.2 degrees Celsius, a couple of notches higher than that of last week's average of 8 degrees.

Neighbouring cities - Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad and Faridabad were also affected with severe fog, making driving during the early hours of the morning hazardous.

The MeT department forecast for Tuesday suggested dense fog with a minimum and maximum temperatures of 8 degrees and 21 degrees Celsius respectively.
